Golden Hour was started because the music industry can be hard to navigate for independent artists. Sometimes a trusted and independent voice to help you create release plans and connect with the right partners and people in the industry can be a key step forward.
Clients and artists that Golden Hour have worked with include – The Annex (Tash Sultana, Genesis Owusu, Royel Otis, De La Soul, Usher, Mom + Pop Music, Unified Music Group), Ashwarya, Ryan Downey, Naomi Keyte, True Vibenation, BIGSOUND (2023 Industry Consultant), Jess Ribeiro, MXNROe and AUM management.

Sarah Hamilton has been working in digital distribution and the online tech music space since it’s inception in Australia in the mid 2000s, and was the Regional Manager of Australia and New Zealand for Ditto Music – a music company with over 500 000 artists globally. Sarah loves helping independent artists gain access to opportunities, understand the digital world, and promote their music globally. Her favourite music is usually of the neo-soul/R&B or hip hop variety, but she also likes a lot of indie bands and has the utmost respect for Dolly Parton.
Sarah is also a co-founder of the charity One of One, which highlights women and non-binary people working within the music industry, and hosts events for International Women’s Day, and other projects that promote diversity and inclusion.
Sarah has been listed in The Music’s Power 50 list of influential people in the Australian music industry twice, and was also awarded the Music Victoria inaugural award for an Outstanding Woman in Music for her work with the One of One team.
Originally from QLD, Sarah now lives in Melbourne’s Western suburbs, and when not watching a band or show, she can be found with her partner and two dogs, or eating Vietnamese food on Smith Street.
Sarah has previously spoken at events such as: BIGSOUND, IndieCon, The Seed Management Workshops, Changes Conference, Face the Music, Ditto X (London), Trade Mission (Seoul, South Korea), BYTA, The Melbourne Jazz Festival, Creative Mornings, Women in Music Production Summit, Workshops for The Push Inc, APRA AMCOS ‘Meet the Locals’ events, Music Victoria and VMDO events, Gold Coast Centre for the Arts, QMUSIC, MusicSA, Music NT and InTune Conference, The Hip Hop University, RMIT and she has lectured at JMC Academy, Box Hill Institute and SAE.
